At Progressive Idaho, we believe in the power of connection. But many progressives in Idaho feel isolated—like they're alone in their communities. The truth is, we're not as alone as we think. Nearly a third of Idaho voters lean left, yet many of us feel like we're just tiny "blue dots" in a sea of red.
The challenge isn't that we're alone – it's that we are disconnected.
That's why we've created multiple ways for you to connect with fellow progressives across the Gem State. Whether you prefer newsletters, social media, or real-time conversations, we have a space for you to find your community.

📧 Newsletter
Our newsletter keeps you informed about organizing throughout Idaho, shares stories from our community, highlights important local issues, and provides resources for left-leaning Idahoans.

Follow us on Bluesky for updates, news highlights, and conversations. We love Bluesky as it puts users first by giving you complete control over what appears in your timeline and custom algorithms like "The Idaho Feed" help you connect with local content. Unlike other platforms, Bluesky doesn't force algorithms designed to trigger outrage and boost engagement nor do they shadow ban or derank political topics – we can freely discuss progressive policies and organize around important causes without being artificially suppressed.

Our Discord server is the heart of our online community—a space where Idahoans gather for deeper conversations and connections. We work to ensure a respectful, supportive environment for all members. This server includes channels for:
- General discussions and community building
- Political news and conversations
- Organizing resistance and progressive action
- Interest-based connections (books, crafting, tech, sports, memes)
- Special channels for verified members and specific communities

Join the Idaho Resistance Alerts on Signal. This group delivers essential information about resistance efforts, upcoming actions, and time-sensitive news. It is admin-moderated, ensuring you receive only essential messages without the clutter of a typical chat group.

If discord isn't your thing, we also have a Progressive Idaho group on Signal. This is a large group chat, so please keep posts (mostly) on topic. If you want to have longer conversations or chat off-topic, that's better suited for Discord. To prevent spam bots, you will need to contact us or any current member for an invite link.
We've just spun up a Facebook page, and while it won't be a primary outlet for conversation, it will help us reach groups of people who are not active on other social media sites, we will post updates there so please follow us to help expand our reach.
